MediOpin’s business unit MRC provides a full range of case management, cost containment and utilization management services to insurance companies, self-insured employers, employee benefits consultants, Taft-Hartley trusts, third party administrators, public self-insured programs, city, county, and state agencies, attorneys, and private individuals for accident & health, disability, liability, and worker’s compensation carriers.
Two common services we offer are case management and physician reviews. Case management is offered is to help the participant return to maximum function and get back to a normal life if possible. In case management, we do not interfere with care, we make sure the participant gets the best care possible. A physician review can result in a positive outcome for the participant, especially when medically unnecessary care is avoided. These examples deliver measurable services that can positively impact various components of the US healthcare system, one customer at a time.

SFUR – MEDICAL COST CONTAINMENT REVIEW SOLUTIONS
We are a URAC accredited Independent Review Organization (IRO) providing Utilization Review/Management (UR/UM), Peer Review, Medical Cost Containment, Expert Medical Witness, Physician Reads, and Compliance, Fraud Waste & Abuse services to various members of the healthcare ecosystem. Since 1986 SFUR has delivered exceptional medical knowledge, consistent customer cost savings and improved treatment outcomes.
SFUR is a physician driven organization offering services of every medical specialty through a panel of 600 + board certified physicians.
On the medical cost containment end of our business, we have reviewed and negotiated thousands of medical bills resulting in savings 70% of the time to our payer customers. Our results speak for themselves. Typically, if our payer customers pay a fixed fee for our services, they will generate a 400% return on investment because of the savings we generate. If our payer customers opt for percent of savings model, where SFUR only gets paid if savings are generated, the return on investment is over 1,500% to our payer customers.

Medical Rehabilitation Consultants, Inc. is based in Spokane, Washington and was established in 1987 by Mary Glidden, R.N., BSN, CCM, CLCP, CRRN, D-ABDA. Originally providing catastrophic and workers’ compensation medical case management services in the Pacific Northwest, our firm has expanded to providing a full range of cost containment and utilization management services throughout the contiguous United States, Alaska and Hawaii. MRC joined the MediOpin group in 2019.
Our customers include insurance companies, self-insured employers, employee benefits consultants, Taft-Hartley trusts, third party administrators, public self-insured programs, city, county, and state agencies, attorneys, and private individuals for accident & health, disability, liability, and worker’s compensation claims as well as all issues relating to elder care management.
